COMMITTEES for the NCTIA:

Committees are the working force of NCTIA. Committee oversight and direction is provided by the Board of Directors. The board engages the committees listed below to carry out the Association's Strategic Plan, share information, problem solve, and network for the benefit of all member companies. Program Development

Identify industry issues and opportunities to bring meaningful presentations to the membership.  Seek active involvement of all NCTIA members by promoting participation at NCTIA events.  Connect and engage members in quality networking, idea sharing, problem solving opportunities through committees, forums, seminars and briefings.  Work with the NCTIA President to coordinate the Annual Convention and to develop other programmed events to provide educational, leadership and networking value-added opportunities for NCTIA members, as well as key stakeholders.
Business Operations

Provide a forum for members to connect and discuss the impact of regulatory, legislative and market changes on business operations.  Identify educational resources to enable NCTIA members to understand the issues and to identify changes impacting their financial performance and business management. Seek to identify those common issues to work on, while respecting the diversity of member company views on various issues.
Workforce Development

Assist member companies with developing a workforce that is IP technical, marketing and sales savy as well as customer service efficient.  Connect member companies to an increased number of delivery vehicles for education / training.  Develop a process to identify emerging education topics that will help build employee productivity, retention, competencies and skills with customers and products.  Assist with strategies to identify savings in employee benefits.  Work with Central Carolina Community College to develop a curriculum at the North Carolina School of Telecommunications which meets the training needs of telecommunications companies.
Engineering & Plant

Provide resources to connect member companies with options regarding regulatory, technology and issues affecting outside plant operations and facilities.  Coordinate an Exhibitor Showcase for associate members focusing on new technologies.  Coordinate Emergency Manpower and Equipment Inventory.
Network Operations

Provide information to connect members with strategies regarding new technologies and discuss network deployment challenges.  Provide forum for members to discuss network issues regarding the interconnection of voice, data, video and signaling services.  Provide a venue for vendors to showcase their products, plus provide educational presentations at each meeting, and provide the same for our members through sponsorship of the Spring Technology Conference and Tri-State Conference.

Promote NCTIA as the premier telecommunications trade association in the state, emphasizing the industry’s economic impact in the state and communicating important accomplishments internally and externally through an effective communications program. Enhance NCTIA’s visibility and reputation as a facilitator that connects diverse parties to dialogue on key issues affecting the telecommunications industry.   Increase NCTIA’s visibility and credibility as an information source.  Improve lines of communications with internal and external stakeholders to build relationships of trust.  Promote the industry’s contributions to their local community’s economic growth, community needs and success.
