Dennis
Wallace

TriCounty Telecom
“Your reputation is what people see you do, your
character is what you do when no one is looking.”
Dennis M. Wallace, Jr. began his career in telecom as an
Installer-Repairman with Carolina Telephone in 1971, a
path that brought him to Tri County Telecom as General
Manager 13 years ago.
Committed to serving his professional community, Dennis
is a past member in the President’s Club at Carolina
Telephone, has served as President of the
Carolina-Virginias Telephone Membership Association, was
elected Region 1 Director of the National
Telecommunications Cooperative Association in 2002 and
is the immediate past Chairman of the Co-operative
Council of NC.
Dennis’ dedication to service extends into his hometown
community where he has been Mayor and Fire Chief. He was
the 2004 Belhaven Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the
year, Chairman of the Board of the Pantego Christian
Church and served countless other local civic groups and
boards. You may not know that Dennis has been filling in
for ministers at his church for over 25 years, including
2 ˝ years during the illness and death of their
minister.

If you spend time
with Dennis, you will discover his enthusiasm
for his hobbies, especially buying and selling
cars, trucks and motorcycles. He also enjoys
woodworking and repairing old furniture as well
as watching auto and motorcycle racing. His
favorite book is Catch Me If You Can by
Frank W. Abagnale
and his favorite movie is Back to School
with Rodney Dangerfield.
Dennis has been married to his
wife, Doris, for over 38 years. His son, Erik,
lives in Richmond, VA with his wife Erin and
their daughter Anneliese. His other son, Clint,
is deceased. |
