Committees are the working force of NCTIA. Committee oversight and direction is provided by the Board of Directors. The board engages the committees listed below to carry out the Association's Strategic Plan, share information, problem solve, and network for the benefit of all member companies. Program Development

Work with the NCTIA Executive Director to coordinate the Annual Convention and to develop other programmed events to provide educational and networking opportunities for NCTIA members which add membership value.  Programmed events should provide competitive pricing for member participation while generating revenue for NCTIA.  Expand opportunities for networking between member companies, as well as key stakeholders.

Enhance NCTIA’s visibility and reputation as a facilitator that brings diverse parties together to dialogue on key issues affecting the telecommunications industry.   Increase NCTIA’s visibility and credibility as an information source.  Improve lines of communications with internal and external stakeholders to build relationships of trust.   Promote NCTIA as the premier telecommunications trade association in the state, emphasizing the industry’s economic impact in the state and communicating important accomplishments internally and externally through an effective communications program.
Human Resources

Provide educational support to members on human resources and training issues.  Increase number of delivery vehicles for education / training.  Develop a process to identify emerging education topics.  Create a process to benchmark and share best practices.
Engineering & Plant

Provide resources to members regarding regulatory, technology and updates affecting outside plant operations and facilities.  Coordinate “What’s New, What’s It Do” and “Expo” events.  Coordinate Emergency Manpower and Equipment Inventory.
Network Operations

Provide information to members regarding new technologies and discuss network deployment challenges.  Provide forum for members to discuss network issues regarding the interconnection of voice, data, video and signaling services.  Provide a venue for vendors to showcase their products, plus provide educational presentations at each meeting, and provide the same for our members through sponsorship of the Spring Technology Conference and Tri-State Conference.
Business Operations

Provide a forum for members to discuss the impact of regulatory, legislative and market changes on business operations.  Identify educational resources to enable NCTIA members to understand the issues and to identify changes impacting their financial performance and business management.
NC School of Telecommunications
Learn About NCST

Enhance the quality of training provided by the North Carolina School of Telecommunications by providing timely input and counsel on industry technology trends and the resulting training/education needs.  Enhance member understanding of the programs offered by the School and pursue strategic partnership opportunities between NCTIA and the School.  Work with Central Carolina Community College to develop a curriculum which meets the training needs of telecommunications companies.
